A Little Bit About Us

Reference Help - ask for Leif Pierson, Reference Librarian, located on the 1st floor near the main entrance.

Online Databases - learn how to access and search the databases. Ask for Leif Pierson, Reference Librarian, 1st floor.

Wireless Network - bring your laptop for study or leisure, using our totally wireless library environment.

Writing & Tutoring Centers - the Writing & Tutoring Centers, located on the library's 2nd floor, provide students with free help from writing consultants and tutors on any writing assignment for any course, as well as for personal writing projects like creative writing, resumes, letters, etc. Students can continue to use computers to print at 10 cents per page, as before. Tutors will be available for walk-ins and appointments.

Computers - Students have access to approximately 70 computers on the first floor of the library that are available on a first come basis with a time limit of 2 hours. The Technical Assistance Center is located near the computers to help anyone needing assistance with the computers, a password reset, access to the TJC wireless network, and other technical questions.

Computer Print Policy - TJC manages computer printing through a system called PaperCut, and students must set up a print management account before printing. There is a kiosk on the library’s first floor where patrons can either feed in cash (coins or paper currency) or use their debit or credit card to add money to their account. Check with the IT staff stationed at the Technical Assistance Center for help. Print stations are set up around the library in order to better serve our patrons.  Patrons can walk up to any print station, swipe their TJC ID card or key in their A#, and choose which print job to release for printing.  Printing cost for black and white copies is 10 cents per page and 75 cents per page for color copies.

Circulation Desk - check out books, reserve materials for in-library use, course DVD's, clear a fine and more.

Fiction Books - check out our collection of best selling fiction titles that also includes Graphic Novels and Manga.

Supplies - students can purchase items such as scantrons, pencils and other items from the vending machine located on the 1st floor next to the Library Director's office.

Starbucks - grab a popular drink, sandwich or pastry while you study or just relax!

Snacks - vending machines with drinks and snacks are available for that extra burst of energy! You're also welcome to bring your own snacks. Just help us keep things neat and tidy!
