Online Resources

Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute - AHRI is the trade association representing manufacturers of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, commercial refrigeration (HVACR), and water heating equipment.

American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers - ASHRAE, founded in 1894, is a global society advancing human well-being through sustainable technology for the built environment. The Society and its members focus on building systems, energy efficiency, indoor air quality, refrigeration and sustainability within the industry.

Ammonia Refrigeration Training Solutions - ARTS provides resources and teaching people to understand, operate, and implement industrial ammonia refrigeration systems and the management systems around them as well as establishing passion behind this work.

International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration - IIAR is the world's leading advocate for the safe, reliable and efficient use of ammonia and other natural refrigerants.  IIAR members share their collective knowledge and experience to produce consensus documents that address various aspects of the natural and industrial refrigeration industry. IIAR has broad industry representation including manufacturers, design engineers, contractors, end users, academics, scientists, and trainers.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration - Ammonia Refrigeration (U.S. Department of Labor) - OSHA eTool. Assists employers and employees in identifying and controlling the hazards associated with the operation and maintenance of ammonia refrigeration systems.

Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association -  Founded in 1909, RETA is a non-profit membership and certification organization based in Albany, OR.

Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association - Texas Chapter of the ACCA, a nonprofit trade association for the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration contractors in Texas. These contractors design, install, maintain and service HVAC/R systems.
