1. Do You Have Print Journals in the Library?
We do have a limited number of print journals in the library. Typically, if a journal is available via our databases we discontinue the subscription to the print edition. Printed journals are located on the first floor of the library. You can see the titles that are available by going to the Journals and Magazine subject guide.
2. How Can I Stay Up To Date On What Resources the Library Has To Offer?
We post news on our library website or you can check with the library staff.
3. What resources does the library have related to the class assignments I have?
The results list from a search of the library catalog or the online databases will give you a quick look at the number of resources that we have to support your topic. If in doubt, check with the library staff for help. We can look the topic up and usually within a matter of minutes tell you whether we have information on a particular topic or short story.
4. How do I access the library databases?
Go to the library's homepage and select the Online Resources link in the right margin. Click on a database, and when prompted, enter your A# as your username and the last 4 digits of your A# plus your 4-digit date of birth as your password. You can also search the databases from any of our library Subject Guides.
If you still cannot log in, please contact the library staff and provide them with your full name, your A# and your 4-digit date of birth.
5. How do I access the student wireless network (Wi-Fi)?
Select "TJC student" and enter your student username and password. The username is your A# and the password consists of the letters TJC plus your birthdate in MM/DD/YY format. For example, if your birthday is July 6, 1988, your password would be TJC070688.
