A Little Bit About Us

Reference Help - ask for Leif Pierson or Madeleine Nittmo, Librarians with offices on the 1st floor.

Online Databases - learn how to access and search the databases. See Leif Pierson or Madeleine Nittmo.

Wireless Network - bring your laptop, tablet, or other device for study or leisure, using our totally wireless library environment.

Tutoring Center - the Tutoring Center, located on the library's 2nd floor, provides students with free help from writing consultants and tutors on any writing assignment for any course, as well as for personal writing projects like creative writing, resumes, letters, etc.

Computers - students have access to approximately 70 computers located on the library's first floor that are available on a first-come basis with a time limit of 2 hours. The Technical Assistance Center is located near the computers to help anyone needing assistance with the computers, a password reset, access to the TJC wireless network or with software questions.

Computer Print Policy - TJC manages computer printing through a system called PaperCut, and students must set up an account before printing. There are two kiosks on the library's first floor where patrons can either feed cash (coins or paper currency) or use their debit card or credit card to add money to their account. Check with the IT staff stationed at the Technical Assistance Center for help. Print stations are set up around the library's first floor in order to better serve our patrons. Patrons can walk up to any print station, swipe their TJC ID card or key in their A#, and choose which print job to release for printing. Printing costs for black and white copies is 10 cents per page and 75 cents for color copies.

Circulation Desk - check out books, reserve materials for in-library use, course DVD's, clear a fine and more.

Fiction Books - check out our collection of fiction titles, including Graphic Novels, Young Adult, and Manga, all on the 1st floor.

Supplies - students can purchase items such as scantrons, pencils and other items from the vending machine located on the 1st floor next to Madeleine Nittmo's office.
