Off-Campus Library Support: Articles/Databases

Library resources and services in support of our off-campus and online students and faculty.

Subject Guides By Course

For course-specific help, please visit the main site for our helpful Subject Guides. You'll find resources and information chosen specifically for that course. Look for a list of the most helpful databases to search; suggested books; reviewed web content and lots more!

Databases vs Internet

Watch this very short video clip that demonstrates why you should consult the library's databases for your research rather than the internet.

Helpful Information

Off Campus Access

The library's databases are trustworthy sources of published information that include journals, magazines, newspapers, government documents, primary sources, images, maps, and TV and radio transcripts. You'll be asked to login when searching from off-campus. The username is your TJC A# and the password is the last 4 digits of your A# plus your 4 digit year of birth. For example, using A00012345 and the birth year of 2002, your login would be:

Username = A00012345
Password =   23452002
