Psychology 2301 Student Learning Outcomes Essay
Part 1
- You will write a two (2) page essay reflecting on the ways in which Covid-19 affected your personal mental health. For example, you may reflect on changes in your stress level, social interactions, and academic motivation.
- At the end of your essay, include a separate paragraph titled Conclusion. In the conclusion, imagine that you are a counselor or other mental health professional and come up with at least two (2) ideas or initiatives that will help other people who are struggling wit the mental health effects of Covid-19.
- You essay should be written in APA format. Make sure that you include a title page, double space the paper, use one (1) inch margins, and use a twelve (12) point font.
- Review your essay for spelling and grammatical errors before submitting it.
- Do NOT copy and paste (plagiarize) in this essay. Use you own words. If you want to quote a small portion of text, you may do so, but you must include both in-text citations and a reference page.
Part 2
- Choose three (3) countries to research, preferably countries from different continents. You will research the COvid-19 death rate for each of the three (3) countries.
- Using Microsoft word, create a bar chart displaying the data you collected. Be sure that your statistics are expressed as percentages or as a death rate per X number f people.
- You cannot use raw numbers to compare death rates among countries with different populations.
- Be sure to give your chart a title. You must also label each axis.
How to Create a Bar chart
- You must have Microsoft Word installed on your computer.
- Create a New Document, then click on “insert” (3rd tab from the left)
- Click on “Chart”. This will give you several options. Click on “Bar” and use the first chart sample on the left.
- Enter the data you collected into the spreadsheet. You will need to rename categories and series that appear by default. Name you bar chart at the top.
- You can also use Excel or Google Sheets to create you bar chart.
How to Submit an Assignment in Canvas
- In order to upload a document, make sure to save you essay and your bar chart onto you Desktop. Your name must be on your documents.
- Click on “Submit Assignment” in order to attach your paper.
- You will be prompted to “Choose File”
- Find you file, then click on the button that will transfer you file into Canvas.
- Click “Submit Assignment” a second time and the attachment process is complete.
- Plagiarism software Simcheck will be used to check for duplicated words.
